Jessica is 16 and is the first person who began playing in the band. She has been playing fiddle since the age of 9 and also enjoys playing mandolin. Not long after she began playing sister Katie, at the age of 6, declared that she wanted to play fiddle too. So mom began playing guitar and a couple years later Jessica began giving Shane mandolin lessons. And this is how the band was formed. Grandma picked up the bass about 2 years ago and added tremendously to the sound. Jessica also sings some lead and harmony in the band. Jessica's influences include: Louie Popejoy, Jeff Guernsey, Liesl Shoenburger, Leann Dodge, Bobby Hicks, Andy Leftwich, and Michael Cleveland. Some of her other interests include: reading, playing volleyball, hanging out with friends, and smiling. :)

Katie is 13 years old. She has been playing banjo for 3 years. She also plays fiddle. Some other things she enjoys doing are: Knitting, brushing her horse, playing volleyball, and riding her motorcycle. Katie sings lead and harmony in the band. some of her influences are Barry Abernathy, Jim Mills, Louie Popejoy, Bobby Jewel, Paul England, and of course Earl Scruggs!! =)

Shane is 12 and has been playing mandolin for about 4 years. His sister Jessica has tought him from the beginning and continues doing so. Shane sings lead and harmony for the band. His influences include: Jessica, Solly Burton, Taylor Baker, Adam Steffey, Sam Bush, and Alan Bibey. Some of his other interest are: riding 4-wheelers and dirt bikes, shooting his air soft guns, deer hunting, playing basketball, and fishing.

Lora is the mother of these 3 beautiful children. She plays rhythm guitar and also sings lead and harmony for the band. Some of her favorite bluegrass female singers include: Alison Krauss, Claire Lynch, Alecia Nugent, and Carrie Hassler. Her strongest musical influence comes from her mother, Nancy Smith. Some of her fondest, most precious memories are of listening to her mother sing. In Lora's spare time she enjoys reading and laughing as much as possible.
 
Even though proud papa (mark) doesn't play in the band, he is greatly needed and tremendously appreciated. Thanks dad for all you do!!!

Nancy Smith is the proud grandmother. She plays the bass for the band and sometimes joins in the singing. Some of her musical influences include: Barbara Streisand, Joan Biaz, And John Denver.
